The Passport also provides savings on stay & play packages in the Pinehurst, NC area and Myrtle Beach, SC. And as an additional benefit, it also offers exclusive discounts at popular restaurants, bars, breweries and other businesses in the Charlotte area.

The Charlotte Golfers Passport is for any golfer who enjoys playing different courses in the area, trying new courses, and taking weekend golf trips.

The Charlotte Golfers Passport is not intended to replace a membership at a golf course, but rather to complement it.

Some of the benefits of the Charlotte Golfers Passport include:

  • Discounts on stay and play packages in the Carolinas (Pinehurst, Myrtle Beach, and more)

We’re confident you will find a tremendous value in it; the Passport pays for itself after only a few rounds. We will continue expanding the offerings on the Passport each year and value for the passport holders will continue to grow.

  • Seasons and days of the week have different rates & time restrictions
  • Some courses have restrictions on the number of rounds you can play in a given season or year. If they are unlimited, you can play as many times as you would like at the specific Passport rate in 2021
  • You MUST present the Passport to get the exclusive rate
  • Guests will be charged the standard rate by the course, unless noted otherwise on the course’s Passport page

What happens if I book a tee time outside the available time restrictions?

Each course has provided its exclusive rates, available tee times, and restrictions for Charlotte Golfers Passport holders. If you book tee times outside of these restrictions, the course maintains the right to charge its current standard rate at the time of your tee time.

Can I share my Golf Passport?

No. The Golf Passport is for the passport holder only, except where courses specifically offer guest rates in the passport. Courses maintain the right to ask for identification at the course along with the actual passport.

Where can I find a full breakdown of the Passport savings?

You can see the complete Passport savings breakdown here.

What if I lose or damage my Golf Passport?

Charlotte Golfers is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen passports. These are printed passports only, and not currently digital. In the future, we will be moving to a digital Passport.

Can I return my Golf Passport?

The Charlotte Golfers Passport is a Final Sale and is not eligible to be returned once purchased.

I have a golf membership already. Why do I need a passport?

The Charlotte Golfers Passport is not designed to replace a golf membership. The Passport is a great opportunity to play a variety of courses and get exposure to new courses in the area and across the Carolinas. It is a perfect complement to a golf membership, allowing for play at courses outside of your home golf course.

This is a Charlotte Golf Passport, but why are some courses on the Passport farther away?

This is the first annual Charlotte Golfers Passport and the participating courses on the passport will grow each year. We find it beneficial to provide additional options for the passport holders. Also, with many courses offering unlimited rounds at the exclusive rate, you can play these courses many times to increase your savings. The price of the passport reflects the current course offering and provides great value to the passport holder.

Will there be more courses on the passport next year, including private courses?

With the current pandemic, golf courses are the busiest they have ever been, making some reluctant to offer exclusive rates. As things go back to normal, we anticipate more courses to see the value in participating in the Charlotte Golfers Passport. We will continue to build our relationships with private courses in the area to see how we can incorporate them into the passport. Currently, many private clubs are limiting play exclusively to members due to COVID-19.

Why aren’t some courses available on weekends?

Some courses restrict the use of the passport on weekends. Especially since COVID-19 started, golf courses have seen a big increase in demand for tee times. Due to the demand, they don’t need to offer exclusive rates in order to fill up their tee sheets. If they were to include tee times on the weekends, they would be restricted to twilight tee times, where sometimes the twilight rate would be lower than the passport rate. You can still play on weekends, just go through the course to book your tee time and use the passport at these courses for a time that you can go during the week.

What if the course's rate is lower than the passport rate?

If you are playing in the late afternoon, it is possible that the course’s twilight rate will be lower than the passport rate. One benefit of the passport is that you can play earlier in the day at the predetermined price. Therefore, it is possible the twilight rate can be lower. If that is the case, save the passport and book directly with the golf course.
