Dr. Charles L. Sifford Golf Course is a 9-hole course in the middle of South End, minutes from Uptown Charlotte. But what many people don’t realize is their enormous practice facility. The driving range has all grass areas for you to fine tune that iron game, which could be more beneficial than the mats. You’ll also find a massive putting green, and an oversized area to work on your chipping or bunker play. The balls are on the more expensive side, but remember the land in this booming area isn’t cheap. If you were just looking to work on your short game, this is the place you want to be.

In season, they are open from 9am-9pm so there is no excuse for you not to give this place a shot. Short game area with bunkers and heated bays during the offseason. We will be back.

When you pull up to it, you may think its closed or question why you came, but rest assured, this place is awesome. Nothing about it is fancy, which is why they can offer the balls at a cheap price, its quiet and allows you to focus on your game. If you live north of Charlotte, this is your spot.

The balls are a little lighter than actual golf balls, so it’s not the place to figure out the distance of your clubs, but still a great option to get in your reps.
