My Fitting Experience
Being fitted for custom clubs previously at the PGA Tour Superstore, I was shocked at how many different shafts and clubhead combinations we tested out, and that was just for the driver. Ryne Cole, Master Fitter at True Spec Charlotte, was extremely helpful in looking at my swing and the numbers on the Trackman in order to find the best possible fit for my golf swing.
We narrowed it down to a couple different combinations, but it was obvious that there was a clear winner that gave me the optimal spin, control, speed, and distance. With the right combination, i decreased my spin rate, increased my clubhead and ball speed, minimized the severity of my misses, and added about 30 yards to my average drive.
After the session, I was emailed a full summary of the Trackman statistics, along with the custom quote for the combination. It was an amazing experience, and I will certainly be back to test out my irons and really figure out the best set of clubs for my golf swing.
I would highly recommend True Spec for anybody who is looking to get fit for clubs in the Charlotte area and see what they are all about.
